As many Marylanders are aware, due to the recent progress made to “flatten the curve” and limit the spread of the Coronavirus, the state of Maryland and Harford County have agreed to lift the stay at home order on May 15 at 5:00 PM. As a result, Old Line Football Club is ready to begin our “return to play” protocols, which have been developed based on guidelines recently published by both MSYSA and US Club Soccer.
Old Line Football Club will hold 2020/2021 tryouts the weekend of Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14. A formal schedule is under development and will be shared once it is finalized. These tryouts will include social distancing and “zero contact” measures to ensure the safety of our players, coaches, and families during the team selection process. Additional information regarding these measures will be shared with registered families prior to tryouts. All interested players should register by June 12, 2020 to ensure proper planning. Walk ups will not be permitted at tryouts this year.
If a player or family is simply not ready to participate in tryouts yet, Old Line FC will also offer “virtual showcase” options to those players to ensure everyone has an opportunity to play at Old Line FC. For more information regarding the virtual showcase, please email the following address:
We are thrilled about the opportunity to get back out on the pitch again, but we are also diligently committed to maintaining the highest standards in player safety, coaching, and sportsmanship at Old Line FC. These tryouts will be different, but we ask for everyone’s cooperation as we take the necessary steps to ensure our high standards are met. Please stay safe and be on the look out for our tryout schedule and protocols in the coming weeks.
